Privacy Policy
allowd — guest access software, operated by GET ALLOWD LLC.
Last updated 16 September 2026
allowd is used by sponsors, schools and venues (our clients) to invite guests to games and events, issue each guest a pass, and check that pass at the door. This policy explains what we hold about those guests, what we do with it, and how to reach us.
We do not sell personal information, and we never share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing.
Who is responsible for your information
The client who invited you decides who is invited and what they are told; allowd provides the software and sends the messages on that client's behalf. If you were invited to an event, the client named in the message holds the relationship with you. You can ask either them or us about your information.
What we hold
- Guest details — name, and the email address or mobile number your host gave us so that your pass could reach you. Sometimes a company name, and the size of your party.
- Your pass — the occasion it is for, the code it carries, and whether it has been scanned at a door, when, and by which member of gate staff.
- Messages — the invitations and reminders sent to you, whether they were delivered, and whether you have agreed to receive texts.
- Staff accounts — for people who sign in to allowd: name, work email address, the organisation they belong to, and a record of what they did in the system.
We do not ask for or store payment card details, government identifiers, or precise location.
How we use it
- to send your invitation and your pass, and to answer you if you reply;
- to admit you at the door and to produce the guest list the venue requires;
- to tell the client how many of their guests attended;
- to keep the service secure and working, and to meet our legal obligations.
Text messages
- Consent. We text you only if you agreed to it — either in person or by phone when you were invited, or by ticking the box on a form where you gave your number.
- What we send. Messages about the occasion you were invited to: your pass, reminders, and changes such as a new start time. We do not send marketing texts.
- How often. Only as an occasion requires — typically one to three messages per event.
- Stopping. Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us below.
- Costs. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Sharing. Mobile numbers and consent are used only to send these messages through our messaging provider. They are never sold, and never shared with anyone else for marketing.
Who we share it with
- The client who invited you, and the venue's gate staff, who need your name at the door.
- Service providers who run parts of the service for us: cloud hosting, email delivery, text-message delivery, and Apple and Google for wallet passes. They act on our instructions.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Guest and attendance records are kept for as long as the client's programme runs, because they are the record of who was hosted, and afterwards as our records and the law require. You can ask us to remove your contact details, and we will unless a record must be kept.
Your choices
- Stop texts at any time by replying STOP.
- Ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it.
- Ask not to be invited again, and we will tell the client who invited you.
Security
Access to guest information is limited to the client's own people and to the staff working that door. Every pass carries its own code, and every scan and change is recorded. Information travels over encrypted connections.
Children
allowd is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
